Heatlhy Nation is a community interest company, and a London movement that puts that idea to work across the capital.
We take on rising obesity and declining mental health at the same time, by putting prevention, fitness, and real food back into everyday community life.
Most services treat the body and the mind apart. We don't. They move together, so the work does too.
Through our partnership with GLL (Greenwich Leisure Limited), we run programmes across more than 100 “Better” leisure centres, sports halls, and pitches around the capital.
Add the NHS for clinical screening, plus backing aligned with Mayor of London and Education Authority initiatives, and you get public health that turns up where people already spend their week.
A weekly community workout that rolls into a different GLL centre every Saturday. Live DJ, a full-body session pitched at every level, and a hall full of your neighbours.
Optimal Performance Health Institutes
Mobile screening vans, run with the NHS, park up at every MEGAfiT event with free metabolic, biomechanical, and cognitive checks. Problems get caught early, before they turn into emergencies. OPHI is also home to the movement’s paid performance tier, which helps fund the free work.
Everyone goes home with a weekly food package: 100% healthy, nutrient-dense, and collected from the leisure centre instead of a food bank. Same support, none of the stigma.
The app ties it all together. Show up, scan in, and bank points to spend on services, gear, or annual prizes. Your screening results live there too, so your health and your habits sit in one place.
Every £5 public drop-in helps subsidise a community health slot for someone who couldn't otherwise come along.
No grant cliff edge, no annual fundraising scramble. The people who can spare a fiver keep the door open for the people who can't.
Free for pass holders, £5 for everyone else. Everyone welcome.
